La Escuela Municipal de Música de Pamplona: una institución pionera en el siglo XIX
Abstract
Pamplona City Council created in the 1858 the Municipal Music School, a pioneer among Spanish public education institutions of its day. This article analyses the origin, regulations and characteristics of the teaching staff and students at the school and presents an appraisal of the school in the context of the Spanish music scene of the 19th century.
