Abstract

This article presents an overview of the entire musical production of Agustín González Acilu, a composer born in Alsasua (Navarra) in 1929 and a notable member of the so-called “51 Generation”, which has so greatly influenced contemporary Spanish music. Aspects of the composer’s poetical expression and his role within his historical context are studied and his main works from the 1960’s up to Doble dúo para violines y violoncellos (2005) are analysed. The work includes a chronological catalogue of the composer’s works.
