Abstract

The current article studies seven of the ten churches that existed in Tudela in the XVI century (San Juan Bautista, San Salvador, Santítima Trinidad, San Jaime, San Jorge, San Miguel and San Pedro). These churches disappeared by the end of the XVIII century or the beginning of the XIX century, as a consequence of a plan proposed by the first bishop of Tudela, don Francisco de Larumbe. The reconstruction of the architectonic aspect of these religious buildings in the XVI century has been possible thanks to the important previously unknown documents found in the Navarre archives.
