Minería cuproargentífera en el reino de Navarra (siglo XIV)
Abstract
We don’t have many information about the mining of copper and silver in Navarre, which indicates the presence of deposits and mining operations of reduced dimensions and short duration. The mine of Urrobi is perhaps the best well-known, in special because of the documents left by Paolo Girardi, master miner of the kingdom until 1340. The appeal to foreigners for this task, by the kings of Navarra, was continuous during the XIVth Century. Sometimes they became the tenants of the mineral deposits, so their management went into the private hands of these people, whose activities are not easy to know.
