Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the effects of the “Fábrica de Fundiciones” of Bera on the structure of the employment in this village between 1857 and 1930. There is described the birth of the blast furnace of Olandia and the development of the Fabrica. There are studied the occupational structure of Bera and the characteristics of the workers of the factory.
