Paternidad artística del retablo mayor de El Busto: datos para su historia

Abstract

This work intends to make known and complete with papers, and not by means of more or less logical conjectures, who were the craftsmen  master of the main altarpiece at St. Andrew of El Busto church, one of the Renaissance masterpieces at this small village in Tierra Estella (Navarra).
As this is a church that, till the middle of the xxth century, belonged to Calahorra-Santo Domingo de La Calzada diocese, some craftsmen from La Rioja were the ones who carried it out, choosing Martin Gumet as joiner, who lived in Los Arcos, only five kilometers away from the  aforementioned village.
