"Adveniat regnum tuum". Mensaje iconográfico de la portada de Santa María la Real de Olite

Abstract

The sculptural set of the portal of Santa Maria La Real Olite’s is one of the most important of the Navarre Gothic but, nevertheless, the previous investigations have not met on his interpretive key. The present work proposes the only message, coherent with the whole facade and  exceptionally for several reasons. The analysis of each one of the parts of the portal allows to decipher the dedication of the same one to the evangelical idea of the God’s Kingdom.
