Ordenanzas municipales de Puente la Reina. Siglos XIV-XV
Abstract
Among its mediaeval collection, the Municipal Archive of Puente la Reina preserves a 12-page manuscript written on parchment which partially lists the town’s bylaws in Gothic Book hand. The absence of onomastic and chronological references frustrates precise dating, though palaeographical and numismatic indications suggest that it may have been written towards the end of the XIV century. The poor state of repair of the book, mainly due to damp, impedes reading of the index on the cover. Had this been possible, it would have allowed us to discover the contents of many of the bylaws included on the missing middle pages.
