Abstract

This work tries to remove from the secular anonymity a dozenof imagen of the parish of Santa Maria of Los Arcos, whose embellishment and cult not only contributed to the municipal patronage but to diverse brotherhoods and even the devotion of some personages of the villa. The origin of the artists of diverse factories of Logroño, Viana, Cabredo, Orbiso, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Estella, Calahorra and specially Los Arcos, in a radius of about 50 km, manifest the walth of these artisan factories between the XVI and XVIII centuries, whose works embellished many churches and local hermitages.
