Navarra en una guerra europea. La estrategia capeta tras las Vísperas sicilianas (1283-1296)
Abstract
From 1283 until 1305 the future of Europe was decided in the battlefields. The Capetians, from France, developed an expansive strategy to the Mediterranean, based on a dynastic network which included Navarre. The war of the Sicilian Vespers stopped that project and gave form to new collective identities, from the Gulf of Biscay to Palestine. Navarre, as an Hispanic kingdom, had a major role in that process, thus defining its personality as a differenced community.
