Los inicios del cine y su influencia social en Pamplona (1896-1915)

Abstract

The 1897 fiestas of San Fermin were filmprojecter’s-carrier’s beginning in Pamplona. These first years of the new apparat don’t defer much of what happenned in other spanish cities and we see it soon added to fair booths which tour different local festivities. But its consolidation as variety show won’t take long arriving and the old booths will be transformed in steady locals that will vary the “varietes” with films. The cinema will get a big social acceptance and will get transformed, with the passage of time, in somethig so daily like any other leisure show.
