Muestra Internacional de Cine y Mujeres de Pamplona/Iruña [Pamplona/Iruña International Film and Women’s Film Festival]
Abstract
This article presents the trajectory of the Muestra de Cine y Mujeres organized by Fundación IPES in collaboration with Cines Golem. It is the first Film and Women’s Showcase at the state level that has been in existence since its first edition in 1987 and remains faithful to its initial commitments: to make visible and promote the leadership of women directors, filmmakers, screenwriters and actresses, to use cinema as a tool to transform patriarchal values and to disseminate other views of the world as opposed to the single narrative.
