Abstract

Don Juan Manuel finished his book El Conde Lucanor on 1335, 12th June. He shows the culture of Navarra in four tales. It es a very violent culture because he writes about the “bellatores” (knights). Count Fernán González fought against Sancho Garcés i (905-925) and García Sánchez (931-970). However, Don Juan Manuel shows brave characters like Sancho vii el Fuerte (the Stronger) (1194-1234) and García Ramírez (1134-1150) who repaired a damaged but the writer got him a wife.
