Abstract

The subject of this paper is the history of the Torreblanca’s family, whose native household was on Urroz (Kingdom of Navarra). The use of different kind of documentary sources allows us to follow the family path along the Early Modern period, and to know not only the Torreblanca’s active engagement in political, economical and social matters, but also to the imaginary representation of their past. According to their own version, they are one of the twelve original lineages of Navarra. Although it is difficult to prove it, it seems to be that they took advantage of the opportunities offered by the troubled Navarra at the end of the XVth century and the beginning of the XVIth.
