Abstract

On the 25th of March, 1985 a group of people started to hold meetings with the aim of forming an Ateneo (cultural non-profit association) focused on developing its historical spirit: to promote art and culture. It wasn’t the first time that an Ateneo was constituted in Navarra. The first Ateneo Navarro developed its activity between 1932 and 1936. Its constituting assembly took place on the 12th of March, 1932. The 1985’s Ateneo was initiated by a group of 64 founders. The spirit that drives these new promoters is to take the legacy that the previous Ateneo left, but adapting it to the current time.
