La ignorancia de la historia [The Ignorance of History]

Abstract

I strongly believe that the ignorance o, manipulation of historyr for the sake of cultural, political, religious or any other reasons but far from the historical science, not only produces mythologems, legends, fables... but the belief that everything is true. I present these ideas with some exemples of Basque and Navarrese historians, politicians, novelists and poets about well-known topics: Basque-Iberism, Basque-Cantabrism, as well as the single race, the ancestral Fueros, Roncesvallism... or less habitual topics such as the silence around the relationships between the territories of Vascones and the Kingdom of Asturias and Leon, or with the County of Castille...
