Nuevas villas e inmigración en la Navarra medieval: el Fuero fundacional de La Bastidide Clairence (1312) [New villas and immigration in the mediaeval Navarra. The Fuero foundational of La Bastide Clairence (1312) ]
Abstract
This article studies the foundation and early history of La Bastide Clairence, with a focus on the foundational charter granted by King Louis I of Navarre, which governed the life of the community. Because of its status as a newly created city, it was peopled by a geographically diverse immigration, proceeding not only from Lower Navarre but also from various locations on the Northern side of the Pyrenees as well as other zones of France that had regular links with the kingdom of Navarre.
