Abstract

Near the end of the Peninsular War, the British-Spanish-Portuguese Army, under the command of the Duke of Wellington, entered Navarre in June 1813 in hot pursue of the French, after having beaten them at Vitoria. The persecution ended at the Pyrenees of Navarre a few days later, as Wellington did not fancy entering into France without Pamplona being subdue, and that did not happen until the 31st of October. In the meantime most of the Allied Army was accommodated in Navarre, and as a result several reports were carried out of which were the best places to house the troops. This work comprises two of those reports, where are also mentioned the different ways of communication.
