La Navarra ortodoxa del siglo XIX [The orthodox Navarre in the XIX century]

Abstract

The author analyzes the behaviour of the orthodox (or right) Navarre society along the XIX century. This behaviour was based on two century-old factors, which are part of their peculiar identity: the catholic religion and the fueros or regional code of laws from the ancient Kingdom of Navarre. To those factors, a new concept was added during that time: the liberalism belief in individual ownership.
