Abstract

The article takes a look at the life of the priest and writer Victoriano Huici (Etxarri
Aranatz, 1860-1938), author of the well-known Manual de gramática bascongada
(Basque Grammatical Manual), the first grammar of the Basque language written by
an author from Navarre. An account of the history of the development of the work and
how it was received at the time is given.
