Abstract

This study analyzes Post Nubila Phoebus, sculpture of Fructuoso Orduna, in the context of the art in the first third of the twentieth century. Orduna, pensioned in Rome by the Diputación de Navarra, made this sculpture in 1921 and obtained with it a first medal in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts obtained for him. This award confirmed to him as the most important artist of his generation in Navarra and one of the most important of his time, as professor at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving of Madrid and academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
