El Archivo General de la Universidad de Navarra [The General Archive of the University of Navarre]

Abstract

The General Archive of the University of Navarra was established in 2005. This article describes its organization and function. Special attention is given to the Electronic Archive of the University (archiviun) and to the archival requirements for satisfactory functioning of the chosen tools. In the past, it was decided to implement them by processes. Starting from January 2011, projects already implemented are described. The personal archives incorporated by donation are described, making special reference to those from Navarre; and the processes and working procedures, which facilitate the management of the archival fonds and the subsequent access to documentation, are described.
