Abstract

Parish archives, along with the so-called curia archive, constitute one of the pillars on which any diocesan archival system rests. Both of them bear a double administrative and historical memory of the Church’s pastoral work throughout the centuries. In this article I will be referring to the parish archives dwelling on the Diocesan Archives of Pamplona, in order to make its nature, current situation, and value as a research source known. At last, I will focus on the service offered by the so-called «Microfilm Section» of the Diocesan Archives of Pamplona.
