Objetivo: inclusión social. Un trabajo de frontera en los espacios museísticos navarros [Goal: Social inclusion. A frontier work in Navarrese museum spaces]

Abstract

Especially in the last decades, the social functions attributed to museums have experienced a progressive expansion characterised by the integration of new audiences of a very diverse nature to both their spaces and activities. With the primary objective of becoming inclusive institutions in the service of the entire society, they have focused on those segments of the population at special risk of being on its margins or periphery: people with disabilities, the unemployed, the sick, the immigrants, the prisoners... This article presents a description and assessment of some of the many initiatives carried out by Navarrese museums in this regard.
