El archivo del marquesado de San Adrián durante la Ilustración: organización, fin, utilidad y uso
Abstract
This article describes the different attempts of the marquises of San Adrián to organize and inventory their family archives during the second half of the XVIIIth century. When Francisco Magallón, Vth marquis of San Adrián, took over the title and the family states in 1753, he found a chaotic situation, and one of his first measures to resolve the problem was the arrangement of the archives. As a result was the 1766’s inventory, where he describes the purpose, benefits and use of the archive. But he didn’t finish the task, reason why his son, José Mª Ma gallón y Mencos, VIth marquis of San Adrián, comissions in vain the inventory to the tudelan erudite Juan Antonio Fernández...
