Hacia dónde dirigir las industrias culturales y creativas. Breve reflexión situada [Where to steer the cultural and creative industries. A brief situated reflection]

Abstract

The Huarte Centre is implementing a series of programmes to try to solve some of the problems of the creative and cultural industries, at times generated by the very conception of these industries. We take a look at some of the terms commonly used nowadays in order to propose a cultural management model and a direction for cultural policies in line with the international context of art, which are needed if the fundamental values which art and culture generate, so often distorted, are to prevail. Finally, we offer some specific examples of processes implemented to activate the local artistic community.
