Abstract

This paper brings to light three previously unpublished documents relating to the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in Navarra. Their exceptional nature lies in two factors. On the one hand, they make up unusual inventories of mill machinery and mill furniture; on the other, their texts contain particular diplomatic features, namely, various interspersed segments of lines which reveal millstones measurements. This critical edition aims for an ample diffusion of the documents, given their singularity among the navarrese diplomatic tradition and the sources on molinology.
