Abstract

This paper analyses the studies by different researchers of the XVIth century Pamplonés poet Juanes Amendux, giving a new interpretation on some occasions. The original text has been reviewed and we have had in mind the linguistic characteristics of the Basque dialect known as High Meridional Navarese, spoken in Pamplona and in a wide zone of Navare: from Orreaga to Estella/Lizarra. Jimeno Jurio’s paper on the life and work of the Pamplonés poet has also been taken into account.
