Abstract

Since the decade of 1930, several projects and ideas are proposed to carry out the reform and enlargement of the Town Hall of Pamplona, projects that sometimes are integrated in a wider urban reorganitation plan of all this area of the town. Many propositions appear in this way, from architects as Víctor Eusa, Eugenio Arraiza, Francisco Garraus, Luis Cabrera Sánchez, Eduardo Morcillo Escudero or Antonio Cámara Niño, to the final plan signed in 1951 by José María and Francisco Javier Yárnoz Orcoyen, project that proposed the demolition of the building of the 18th Century –preserving only its front– and the construction of a new one enlarged to Santo Domingo Square. The present study seeks to show and analyse these projects...
