Towards an overview of Navarrese painting over the Baroque centuries

Abstract

This artice talks about the art of painting in the Kingdom of Navarre during the Baroque Era (XVII-XVIII). Both centuries are analyzed individually. Main masters who worked in the capital, Pamplona, and in the rest of the Kingdom in those years are studied, in order to offer an approximated panorama of painting in our lands, and to compare it with his developement in the other spanish domains. As a result, the researched painting focus is labeled as poorer than many other territories’ ones.
