Abstract
This article, structured in three sections, studies the traditional treasury resources (land and transfer tax, income from customs and the exploitation of royal patrimony) and the new forms of financing established by the Royal Treasury as of the XVII century (recovery of profit, donations and other extraordinary income). As far as traditional income is concerned, an evaluation is made of Navarra’s archival sources and studies based on these of a strictly bookkeeping nature, relating them especially regarding income from customs with provisions related to foreign policy, the consequences of which Navarra was to suffer in particular due to its position on the French border.
