Abstract

In the wake of another earlier work, this article, after informing as to the family background of two "requeté" (the name given to Carlist combatants, even in times of peace) brothers, reproduces 18 letters which they sent home to Pamplona over 1937. In their letters, they tell their parents and a sister of their vicissitudes on the front and of the common worries of soldiers concerning food, clothes and money, and of how they made use of days without combat to get together with friends from  Pamplona posted in units near to their own. They also comment on the progress of the war, etc. revealing in so doing the ideology and feelings of the "requetés" in the last civil war.
