Abstract
An interesting document from the “Comptos” archive is transcribed in its en - tirety: the survey that the Navarran authorities carried out in 1349 to learn from the very mouths of the inhabitants of the areas affected (Valley of Araquil, Ergoyena, Goñi) their version of the rustling to which they had fallen victim over previous years at the hands of a group of Navarra-Guipuzcoan bandits (known as the “malhechores de Arbizu”: the “Arbizu outlaws”), a number of whom had just been captured by the police.
