Sobre los folios de Terencio de la catedral de Pamplona (Homenaje a don José Goñi Gaztambide)
Abstract
The Pamplona Cathedral Library preserves a two pages fragment of the Hecyra by Terence written in Visigothic script. This fragment belongs to the manuscript Madrid Biblioteca Nacional vitr. 5-4, copied in the former Navarrese monastery at San Millán de la Cogolla. Comparing its text with other Terentian manuscripts, we infer that the Visigothic copie was made in the first years of the XI century and its elaboration is connected to the teaching activity of Abbo of Fleury. The biography of this abbot explains the fact that many other copies of the same work, textually related to the Spanish one, were made contemporaneously in England, Limoges, Fleury and other places.
