El último Diccionario de la Academia (2001): nuevos criterios en relación con los navarrismos

Abstract

The objective of the present article is to analyse the criteria ap-plied by the Real Academia Española (Royal Spanish Academy) to the latest edition of their Diccionario de la lengua española (Dictionary of the Spanish Language) (Madrid, Espasa-Calpe, 2001, 22ª ed.) regarding Navarran regionalisms. The starting point is a study of the differences between this edition and the pe­nultimate one (21st, 1992), the subject of examination at an earlier date (C. Saralegui & C. Tabernero, Navarrismos en el Diccionario de la Real Academia Española (Navarrisms in the Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy), Pam­plona, Government of Navarre, 2001) and then a comparative study is made.
