Museo del Castillo de Javier (Navarra). Trayectoria, obras y retos [Javier Castle Museum (Navarre): history, works and challenges]
Abstract
This article presents the route that any visitor can take through the Castle and Museum of Javier (Navarre). It covers the historical trajectory and the main artistic works of the site, highlighting the richness of the tangible and intangible heritage of Javier castle. This richness is intrinsically linked to the figure of saint Francis Xavier, patron saint of Navarre, his missionary activity throughout the world, the influence of his figure over the centuries, and the devotion he has inspired. The options and challenges currently facing the Museum are also presented.
