Museo Muñoz Sola: un legado artístico en Tudela y nuevos horizontes [Muñoz Sola Museum: an artistic legacy in Tudela and new horizons]

Abstract

The Muñoz Sola Museum of Modern Art, MMSAM, brings together a varied collection of 19th and 20th century French painting that the Tudela painter César Muñoz Sola (1921-2000), gathered throughout his life, because of the interest he always showed in this artistic period and his own aesthetic inclinations, closely linked to this type of figurative painting. In 2003, this museum was created, where the works in his collection are conserved, exhibited, studied and are an object of public delight, together with a representative sample of his own pictorial work. Since its origins, it has been characterized by an annual program that is notable for its quality, plurality and diversity, aimed at a wide range of audiences. In these more than twenty years of life, it has established itself as an active cultural entity in the city of Tudela.
