Abstract

This article attempts to insist on the study of baroque chronicles of religious orders, through those that refer to the case of the convents of Friars Minor in the area of Navarra, which were within the jurisdiction of the Franciscan Province of Aragon during the Middle Ages and which were later added to the Franciscan Province of Burgos. In this brief description about the contents of the chronicles on this area, we will examine what are the major milestones in the evolution of the franciscanism in Navarra that concern to the authors of these markedly apologetic texts.
