Abstract

Bishop of Pamplona, Tomás Muñiz Pablos, in February 1935 answers a questionnaire sent by Madrid’s Apostolic Nunciature regarding the amount of Basque-speaking inhabitants of Pamplona’s diocese –dioecesis pampilonensis– and whether they understand well the writings and talks of the priests and the Bishop himself or not. The answer to that very questionnaire is added: it is given by the Bishop of Zamora, Manuel Arce Ochotorena, native of Navarre and teacher, canon and Chapter Vicar in the diocese from 1905 to 1929.
