Abstract

This paper collects and analyzes some fake quotes that refer to the history of Navarre and are widely used, sometimes by historians, but more usually by politicians or journalists. Very often those misquotations are used to support political arguments. It’s possible to trace the origin of some of them, often a transcription or interpretation error; in other cases this operation is impossible.
