Abstract

This article basically analyses the demographic data of Sakana in the late Middle Ages, making use of the data for hearths in the Administrative and Legal District of the Mountains in 1427. To do so, we have divided the article into two parts: the first, by way of introduction, reflects on why we have written the article and offers general information on the period; while the second part is a compilation of the data relating to the first quarter of the 15th century in the three geographical areas (Arakil, Barranca and Burunda) of Sakana. The said data is set out in thirty-six tables, with their corresponding comments. We also add other data that is geographic, economic, historical and onomastic in nature.
